Our Beliefs
Beliefs drive people to succeed, and those people drive businesses to succeed.
At Brentwood, we have 10 fundamental beliefs as part of what it means to ''Be Brentwood.'' We hope our culture inspires you to:
Be Well
Take care of yourself, at home and at work. Make time for the things that make you happy and keep you centered.
Be Invested
Understand your role and how it drives success, and commit to that success. Take ownership of your responsibilities and be dependable.
Be An Expert
Be a lifelong learner. Ask questions, seek knowledge, and look for opportunities to learn something new each day.
Be A Mentor
Share your knowledge, tips, and tricks. Aim to be a "go-to" person who helps others learn and feel more confident.
Be A Step Ahead
Be proactive and think ahead. Apply your knowledge and experience to anticipate what's next.
Be A Problem Solver
Think outside the box and voice new ideas. Push the envelope to find the best solution.
Be Innovative
Try new things and look for ways to improve. Hold yourself to a high standard, and keep raising the bar.
Be Understanding
Seek to understand others and their perspectives. Ask questions, be curious, and show them that you care.
Be A Team Player
Encourage, support, and collaborate with others. We are all part of Team Brentwood and perform better when we work together.
Be Proud
Celebrate victories both large and small. Give positive feedback, say "thank you," and take the time to feel good about a job well done.
Brentwood Industries Gives
Brentwood Industries Gives (BIG, for short) is built on the idea that Brentwood employees have a common belief in a larger purpose. We not only care about our work and each other, but about others. Our goal is to positively impact our communities by supporting causes most important to our employees.
BIG does this through…
Volunteerism
Employees are encouraged to volunteer in their communities and given Volunteer Time Off (VTO) hours to do so each year. They can select causes they are most passionate about, such as serving a meal at a soup kitchen or participating in an activity with a youth group.
Community Support
We hold fundraisers at Brentwood to support causes like United Way and the American Cancer Society/Relay for Life. Employees participate voluntarily, and Brentwood often matches their fundraising efforts.
Donations & Sponsorships
Brentwood also supports a variety of organizations with funding from a company level. Employees are encouraged to submit funding requests for the causes they care about, and then we distribute the funds where we see the greatest need.
