TrueSpan Head Shaft

The Polychem non-metallic TrueSpan field adjustable head shaft is designed for onsite modification to accommodate a wide range of tank widths and wall variations. Our patented FRP TrueSpan head shaft features an elongated common key end tube design that uses in-stock shaft components to minimize design and lead times, simplify inventory, and maximize adjustability. The easily field-cut center tube eliminates customization, requires no upfront measurements, and minimizes scrap. Prefabricated FRP shaft couplings connect the end tubes and center tube as one torque tube shaft, while special beaded bushing hardware to ensure torque tube rigidity and longevity.

TrueSpan head shafts are ideal for partial retrofit applications, as head shafts can function as drop-in replacements using legacy sprockets from our standard telescopic head shaft design. Sprocket locations are adjustable to site-specific conditions. TrueSpan’s unique off-the-shelf solution significantly reduces upfront engineering and lead times and is easy to assemble and install onsite.
