TUBEdek®
TUBEdek tube settlers are individual V-shaped plastic profiles built into channels. This design optimizes lamella flow to offer a significant increase in solids settling, reducing both footprint and costs for drinking water and wastewater applications.
TUBEdek is unique in its versatility and can be used in any configuration. It can be adapted to different situations by variation of inclination, length of tubes, and module sizes.
These individual designs support a better process and allow plants to reap cost savings. Due to its high process efficiency and ability to meet tight discharge consents, it is particularly suited for higher effluent flows and loads.

Benefits

Tongue and Groove Connections
Unique interlocking profile with tongue and groove connections promotes laminar flow.

Hydraulic Parameters
Advantageous hydraulic parameters achieve process efficiency (Reynolds number).

V-Shaped Settling Planes
Multiple equidistant settling planes in a V-shape improve the discharge of solids (Hazen approach).

Custom Design
Adapts to process design requirements by variation of inclination, length of tubes, and module sizes. Special support systems avoid dead zones and solids deposits.

Certifications
Modules are certified to ACS, KTW, DWI, and NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 for drinking water applications.

Support System
GRP TUBEdek supports are specially-adapted to TUBEdek modules. These support systems minimize turbulence and sludge buildup. GRP beams are positioned under the side walls of settling troughs. Two beams are usually sufficient for a module width up to 1.4m.
SKR Sedimentation Tank
SKR sedimentation tanks offer ready-to-connect units for the sedimentation of solids by the outstanding sedimentation properties of TUBEdek lamella clarifiers.
AccuGrid® Surface Grating
Installed on top of tube settler modules, AccuGrid interlocking panels provide a protective layer from foot traffic, hydraulic impact, and UV degradation.

Featured Installations
Atotonilco, Hidalgo, Mexico
Application
Mexico’s largest wastewater treatment plant sought to reduce incoming TSS concentrations during primary treatment. TUBEdek’s highly-efficient sedimentation rate minimized the risk of plugging from heavy inflow loads and successfully balanced a monumental effective projected sedimentation area within a small footprint.
Bray, Berkshire, England
Application
South East Water’s Keleher Water Treatment Works was experiencing restricted output with their existing horizontal lamella clarification system. TUBEdek was ultimately selected as the best solution to remove this bottleneck. In addition to successfully improving production capacity, the plant benefits from simple cleaning and maintenance, thanks to TUBEdek’s tongue and groove design.
