At Brentwood, we take pride in helping our community and this past year was no different as Brentwood was presented with the Frank R. Palmer Corporate Citizen Award at the United Way of Berks County’s 50th Annual Awards Dinner on April 18, 2013. We appreciate and give a special thank you to the Rye family, the United Way Committee, and the generous Brentwood employees at our Reading offices for supporting the United Way of Berks County.
The Frank R. Palmer Corporate Citizen Award is presented to companies that exemplify the corporate commitment to a better community through United Way’s annual campaign. Frank R. Palmer was a past Chairman of the Board of Carpenter Technology and served a Campaign Chairman of the Community Chest in 1948. He helped to form what is now known as United Way of Berks County.
Brentwood has shown a dramatic increase in employee and corporate giving over the last five years and is now ranked one of the top twenty companies for giving in the greater Reading area! With the corporate match, Reading raised over $65,000 for programs that help those in need within Berks County.
Brentwood was also a silver award winner, which was presented to groups or companies that raise $100 to $174.99 per capita.
No one is an island. It takes a team and the efforts of many people to achieve great things. Success is not achieved alone. Thanks again to everyone at in our Reading offices for your commitment and dedication to your community. Brentwood is very proud to receive these awards and we look forward to next year’s campaign!
